They perform for their peers and judges who are actively involved in professional theater. They are given constructive critiques, attend workshops, and attend events/concerts featuring current Broadway stars. Being part of a JTF team is an unforgettable experience! Yes, students come together to showcase an ensemble-based segment of a Broadway Junior Musical on an international level. But, the real star of the show are the invaluable skills these students learn. While improving their acting, singing, and dancing abilities, these teammates also learn the values of communication, teamwork, and mutual respect. At the festival, students, parents, and instructors are immersed In an environment where Broadway stars, award-winning choreographers, and directors come together on equal levels to share their experience and love of musical theater. Being on the JTF team has always been one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. Every time I go, I am always surrounded by many welcoming and friendly fellow theater students who are extremely talented and fun. I always feel happy when I get to go with my wonderful team and friends. Being a part of this team, I have become close with everyone to the point that they are like a second family.
